Employment Portal

Designed and developed an employment portal for Human Resources Department. This
portal provides students the ability to search for jobs, post resumes, and apply
for open positions. The web application is built entirely in Visual Studio.Net
2005, using ASP.Net, C# and HTML technologies for the user interface and
Microsoft SQL Server as the backend database. Responsible for designing the sql
server database, creating tables and stored procedures, and using ADO.Net to
connect the web application with the database. Created a search engine to provide
university faculty and staff the ability to search student skills that match
their needs. ADO.Net and Grid view control have been extensively used to provide
the web interface; normalized the sql-server database for fast data retrieval.

Designed and maintained web-pages for individual classes, which dealt with
authoring content and updating the publications, creating new pages using
HTML, Netscape Composer and FrontPage and publishing them on the web site,

Implemented a panel in ASP.NET as the drawing board and each of the dawing
object as
user controls overriding the OnPaintBackGround in C#. The user control draw up
on
board on various mouse events as appropriate and achieved transparency on
both sides.
Congestion Control in Broadband ISDN, Southern Arkansas University

Submitted a lab work with source code on congestion control for effective
traffic management of ATM networks. Various Congestion Control techniques such as
initial binary rate based scheme and explicit rate scheme were studied and
compared for cell loss ratio, fairness and network utilization.
e-Commerce web site, University of Bridgeport, CT

Developed a fictitious web based E-Commerce site providing the basic
functionality of product display and shopping cart for purchases. Other features
of the web site include Credit card validation, Emailing confirmations, and image
upload and display. Report Generation using inbuilt crystal reports for
managerial access has been added.
