OBJECTIVE
Seeking an opportunity to apply my experience with z/OS, DB2, software
development, testing, and customer advocacy at a best of class software company.

EXPERIENCE
Jan 2009 - current HLS Technologies, Inc Austin, TX
Product Developer
Designed, developed, tested, and implemented an online user interface to the
HLS's DB2 Path Check product. This is an ISPF application coded in z/OS
assembler. This new feature generates the JCL and command syntax into a PDS
member for submission to batch. Enhanced the product, Avoid Bind, to allow
output of the DB2 compiles to be written to a PDS. Maintained the SCLM
environment to support Path Check, Bind Avoid, and its sister products Path
Checker and Bind Manager sold by IBM as part of their DB2 Tools suite. Attended
product support meetings with IBM. Have been researching DB2X and planning for
HLS product line enhancements.
1993-2008 BMC Software Austin, TX
Product Developer
1999 - 2008. Developed and maintained the DASD MANAGER for DB2 product and
Execution/JCLgen component of the Admin products for DB2. Primary languages were
z/OS assembler, C, and REXX. Assisted in development test plans. These products
supported all the IBM and BMC DB2 utilities. This was primarily in an on-line
ISPF environment and batch. Developed a technique for defining GDG bases during
JCL generation. Supported the in-house application for invoking multiple
releases of the DB2 Administrative products. Developed a REXX application to
bind packages for each supported release. Developed a program to generate
restart JCL from previously executed JCL entailing correcting Generation Data
Group numbers and dataset dispositions for disk datasets and tape. Performed
build manager duties for the development group using Proteus and Synergy source
management systems interfaced to our in-house SMP/E PTF generator.
