The system was using a pre-existing system as the starting point.

Reliant Energy, Houston, Texas	 			      January ’02 to August ’02

Assumed responsibility for completion of the implementation of two large
software packages: Sungard’s Epsilon and Altra’s GMS (now Caminus) both with an
Oracle v8.1.7 backend.  
Worked closely with both vendors to ensure that deliverables were met and did
extensive gap analysis to identify the absence of any desired functionality.  
Wrote several triggers and stored procedures using PL/SQL to populate five audit
tables for reporting purposes, as the Caminus product was lacking some audit
capability. 
Wrote several MS Access macros to address several user-reporting needs.   
Worked with the Chief Risk Officer to put together a MS PowerPoint presentation
outlining the total project timeline from it’s beginning to the present and
detailing significant events.

Energy Solutions International, Houston, Texas		 December ’99 to January ‘02
Developer/Analyst
Dramatically improved the marketability of two fairly immature software products
through extensive design and development.  
Participated in the implementation of a Risk Management software package at a
client site.  
This involved the design and development of several enhancements to the product
using PowerBuilder 4.0 with a Sybase, SQL Server 7.0 backend.  The customer was
highly dissatisfied prior to my involvement.   
Upon completion of the implementation, the product went into production and the
client enthusiastically agreed to serve as a reference.  




ESI took on a twenty-day implementation of a single pipeline gathering system
using PowerBuilder 7.0 and MS SQL Server 7.0.
Designed and built the Nominations, Confirmations, and Allocations process with
functional input from two of our team members.  
Provided an end result of a fully functional Gas Transportation / Gathering
system that ESI is now marketing to several gas companies in South America.

Union Carbide, Houston, Texas				          April ‘99 to October '99
Developer/Analyst
Participated in the re-write of a system used to track the physical properties
of various chemicals using PowerBuilder 6.5 with an Oracle 7.0 backend.  
Was responsible for the translation of units conversion program from Pascal to
Powerscript.  
The system that existed previously was written primarily in HyperCard, a
language unique to Apple computers.   
Produced several Stored procedures and triggers using PL/SQL.

Engage Energy, Houston, Texas	 			    November '98 to March '99
Developer/Analyst
Helped complete the requirements gathering phase for the Confirmations module of
a Gas Marketing system.  
Completed the functional and technical design of the entire Confirmations
module.  
For the Physical Deal Entry group, developed the screens responsible for
tracking and maintaining gas prices in the system using PowerBuilder 6.5 and PFC
6.0.

Responsible for completion of four large SQR reports.  
Completion of this task involved extensive interaction with three user groups to
collect requirements, gathering feedback on work to date, and obtaining signoff
on different phases of development.  
Each report required considerable testing and entry of large volumes of test
data.    
During downtime while issues were being resolved, began making bug fixes to the
client’s PowerBuilder 5.0 application.  
This involved being assigned a TPR (problem report) and addressing it before
being assigned another one.  

Texaco, Houston, Texas					         February ’97 to May ‘98 
Developer
Supported a large Gas Transportation system and the accompanying accounting
module.
Developed using PowerBuilder 4.0 with Sybase as the backend.   
Responsible for taking customer calls, troubleshooting production problems, and
changing existing code if the determined cause was a programming error.   
Debugged and wrote several T-SQL stored procedures, triggers 
Solely responsible for the installation of a scheduling package developed using
PowerBuilder 5.0 known as BatchMan.   
Was in constant contact with the vendor and helped them to correct several
programming errors in the package from the Beta version.   
Performed maintenance of this application in Production and the scheduling of
reports 
Participated in the migration of primary applications from PowerBuilder 4.0 to
PowerBuilder 5.0 with PFC.  
Performed continued maintenance of our primary applications and the BatchMan
application allowed me to attain a high proficiency with PowerBuilder 5.0.
