Tektronix Unified Assurance solution provides in-depth monitoring of Wireless
Networks for the Telecom Carriers using easy to use web based reports, cubes,
dashboard and alarms. The application suite includes Network Assurance (APM),
Service Assurance (Orion) and Customer Assurance Applications (Beamer, On-Demand,
and Roamer). The UA Mobile Application monitors UMA, HSDPA, UTRAN, UMTS, GPRS,
and GSM networks and provides comprehensive KPIs for Network Planning and
Troubleshooting purposes.

Project Multi Agent Trading Environment (MATE)

MATE represents British Telecom’s intensive research and development effort to
apply the concept of Multi Agents to the domain of E-Commerce. BT has played a
major role in agent technology and has developed a number of agents like
Purchasing Advisor, Personal, Radar, Grapevine and Zeus. The multi agent-trading
environment applies these agents to the car market and demonstrates the concept
of comparison-shopping
Analysis, design and development of the purchasing advisor agent; the key agent
in the Multi Trading Agent Environment. (MATE)
Integration of different agents in the MATE framework
Developed 2 versions of Purchasing Advisor Agent, one as a standalone
application and other as the signed applet. Used RMI between Purchase Advisor
Client and Zeus Agent for distributed computing
Developed a ‘Generic GUI Builder Tool’ using XML and Java. This tool dynamically
generates the user interface given XML input e.g. Car and Insurance markets will
have different XML files and thus different look
