office moves, moving or reconfiguring modular furniture and computer

The data center at TMHP is a top notch environment and my co-workers are all
incredibly talented people. I have been in different sectors of the IT industry
in various roles up to Director. I am able to apply everything I have learned in
the data center and I am also expanding my knowledge through co-workers as well
as our daily challenges. Our responsibilities include monitoring over 260
servers, email bridge checks, network switches, Avaya system, cooling units,
Tandem Non-Stop servers, auto tape libraries (cartridge and optical), as well as
many proprietary applications and databases from the command console. If an error
is detected we implement procedures, which have been created by our team or the
application owner, to correct the issue. If the error cannot be corrected, a page
is sent to the appropriate person or team for immediate action. In our downtime
we re-mapped the data center raised floor system in order to achieve optimal
airflow, ensure all cabinets are grounded, and utilize our floor space to its
potential, we also wrote operating procedures, as well as batch file .exe's,
planning and implementing internal processes to provide a higher standard of
excellence and lower error rates. We also had ongoing and new special projects
throughout the year that we accomplished with great success.
7/2003 – 4/2006 I was laid off from The Cartel Group in July of 2003 due to
residual effects of the economy from 9/11 and started a real estate investment
company. My business partner took over the company in December of 2005 and I
moved to Austin to start a technical support company called Veradon Solutions
where I was a partner until August of 2008 when the business was dissolved.
During this time I also worked the 3rd shift in the TMHP data center which
allowed me to be partially active in Veradon Solutions as well.
