User Support Specialist
• Responsible for receiving initial support inquires. Provide first-line
support for computer system users for over 100 users. Answers user's inquires in
person and via telephone concerning systems operations
• Analyzing/troubleshooting reported problems with system hardware, software,
and operator problems. Recommends or performs minor remedial actions to correct
problems based on knowledge of system operation. Assign higher-level trouble
tickets to their respective specialist within the IT department.

Lead Operator- Duties
• Check shift turnover from 2nd and 3rd shifts that all production jobs were ran
and all systems were up and running for the day.
• Pulling, logging and receiving backup tapes, i.e. network and production.
Making them ready for next production shift and sending them offsite. Process
all daily jobs.
• Wrote documentation for 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift processes.
• Monitor 5 AS400 systems to make sure that all applications were up and running
and users were always able to work during the 1st shift.
Security Admin- Duties
• Was fully responsible for user help requests concerning TMO, LSAMS, NT,
IMS,VPN and other applications.

• When Vartec moved into this building they needed to rebuild the data center
for their needs, I worked closely with Managers, Directors, Vice Presidents and
Sr. Vice Presidents to insure that all work associated with this project were
complete and accurate.
• This project involved contacting potential vendors, written proposals,
communicating with legal and purchasing departments.
• Scheduling all work to be done in the Data Center and outside e.g. UPS
systems, generators, air conditions, electrical power, data cable install and
removal. Also documenting how power, cabling and installing should be done for
the Data Center.
• I also wrote documentation for the new processes and passing on to other
departments for correction and approval.
