• Worked on a programming team that maintained a hospital software
package installed in over 130 hospitals in Texas and surrounding
states. Package consisted of Patient Accounting, G/L, A/P, A/R,
Payroll, Inventory, etc. All coding was done in RPG36, RPGIII, and
RPGILE.
• Converted many programs from RPG36 to RPGILE.
• Worked mainly on new development as well as in a break/fix
capacity resolving user and production problems on AS/400.
02/01 – 09/03 SENIOR PROGRAMMER / ANALYST for CompUSA, Dallas, TX
• Part of a three person team that wrote and maintained a Retail Sales
Commission system used by more than 230 stores. All coding was
done in RPGIII and RPGILE.

on AS/400.

04/79 – 09/99 SENIOR PROGRAMMER / ANALYST for Ahlers & Associates,
Waco,TX.
• Maintained non-profit health care systems for nineteen states, which
were written in RPG on the AS/400. The systems consisted of data
entry, client/Medicaid billing and statistical/governmental
reporting.
• Coded a payroll system in RPG which I modified and maintained
for over twenty companies in multiple cities containing variations
such as sales commission and tip allocation. The system ran on
hardware ranging from the SYS 32 up to the AS/400 platform.
• Developed, coded and maintained a development/cash receipts
system for the Methodist Home in Waco which kept five years of
donor history. Later modified the system and installed it for the
Clifton Lutheran Sunset Home in Clifton, TX.
• Co-developed, coded and maintained an on-line order entry system
for Herndon Medical Supply in Waco, which contained warehouse
inventory, purchase orders, picking tickets and accounts receivable.
• Installed, modified and maintained a police system for the City of
Lacy Lakeview, TX.
• Developed, coded and maintained a video rental system for Flicks
in Waco consisting of inventory and sales as well as reports for
needs of additional copies and round gum labels.
• Installed, modified and maintained a retail accounts receivable system for
companies such as Leon's Fashions and Town & Country
Dress Shop in Waco.
• Developed, coded and maintained an inventory system for Lipsitz Industries
(metal recycling) which tracked numerous types of metal by weight and cost per
pound.
01/75 – 04/79 PROGRAMMER / ANALYST and TRUCK DRIVER for Central Freight Lines,
Waco,TX
• Maintained the payroll system which contained the wrinkle of line driver trip
sheets for which pay was calculated by cents per mile, dock time and safety pay.
• Developed, coded and maintained a profit sharing and retirement system which
was fed by the payroll system through required and voluntary contribution
deductions.
• Coded and modified several programs for freight claims and tonnage.
• Also drove trucks part-time between Texas terminals on nights and weekends.
