using COBOL source code. The resulting specification enabled rewrite of the
system on another platform, eliminating several hundred thousand dollars in
licensing fees.
+ Supported migration of multiple web sites from Windows 2000 Server/SQL Server
2000 to Windows Server 2003 / SQL Server 2005. Took the initiative to understand
differences in software products, and identified transition issues. Then
configured the machines for IIS and SQL Server, including installation of legacy
components to ease the SQL 2005 transition.
+ Co-developed, enhanced and supported a web-based billing detail system that
enabled EDS and Continental Airlines client to significantly reduce mainframe
computer costs.
+ Earned IBM Certified Database Administrator credential on own initiative,
supplying a local base of expertise for DB2 UDB.
+ Provided enhancements and production support for Incident Center and Activity
Reporting System (ICARE – an emergency response application for any airline
incidents) to ensure system availability and functionality 24x7 for this mission
critical business process. Due to the overall success of the application, several
other airlines purchased and now utilize it.
+ Accomplished two major efficiencies as Production Support team leader for
OnePass Frequent Flier system
o Instituted a Run Time Improvement initiative that reduced batch run time
by 25%.
o Created, formalized and documented production support procedures, which
resulted in greater team expertise and productivity.
+ Successfully completed major enhancements for the Agreements and Requisition
subsystems of the System to Integrate Materials and Payables (SIMAP, developed
for the Exxon client).
+ Earned a letter of commendation from Exxon for support of User Acceptance
testing of these changes.
+ Developed internal program documentation standards which were adopted by Exxon
for their SIMAP system. Received letter of commendation from Exxon customer for
excellent service.

Buick prototype system). Assisted other groups in overcoming resistance to new
methodology by serving as team leader, providing training, and promoting use of
the methodology.

Product Description Information System (GM Chevrolet/Pontiac commercial
engineering system) reducing training time by 50% and allowing programmers to
become highly productive in a faster period of time.
