Health insurance company with diversified technology organization.

Software Engineer IV 	2004 – 2009
Provided application development and maintenance in the Claims Application
development team.  
Designed, maintained and architect application components and infrastructure
components for EAI to 
give the development group common components to use in development.

- Created MQ Series wrapper routines that allowed all Cobol developers to
simplify the interface with 
the MQ series network in both the CICS and Batch environments.
- Developed MQ CICS Bridge programs that allowed the same programs that
interfaced through 
Transidiom to function the same way but use MQ as the transport.
- Designed batch programs to save the CICS forward recovery journal data so it
could be used in the 
Business Intelligence data warehouse and also used in problem analysis.
- Designed and implemented the real time Correspondence system using Transidiom
that resulted in 
the real time access to CICS XML data with no restrictions on XML size.
- Designed and supported parts of the system generated Claims correspondence
system that resulted 
in the accurate Time of Service creation of status and acknowledgment letters.
- Maintained components of the Claims Processor One system that resulted in the
continued 
enhancements of the system. 
- Created VSAM I/O sub routine structure for VSAM master files that allowed I/O
calls to access the 
data that was by programs that run in both the CICS and Batch environments.  It
also allowed 3 
tiered Cobol development.

CICS Systems Programmer  	1998 – 2004
Provided MVS Technical support as a CICS and MQ systems programmer. Also
supported other third 
party products that were related to CICS. 

- Designed and implemented a CICS HTTP Web Service Analyzer and Decode/Encode
programs that 
allowed Seagull’s Transidiom Hostbride interface to communicate with CICS
programs.
- Provided CICS system support for all application groups, which allowed them to
utilize and debug in 
CICS more effectively.
- Converted all CICS 4.1 systems to TS 1.3 that allowed CICS to stay at current
maintenance levels.
- Converted all CICS 2.1 systems to CICS 4.1, which allowed CICS to be Y2K
compliant.
- Developed Cobol CGI programs for Mainframe Domino Webserver and partner CICS
programs, 
which allowed PC Web Browser to interface with backend CICS business program.
- Installed and maintained various CICS third party products like Intertest,
Xpediter, McKinney 
products, Abend Aid FX that allowed me to work closely with the application

by the Federal government.
