Key Projects:
Client: Xerox Global Services (XGS) / Ajilon Consulting
Duration: Oct 2008 – May 2009
Role: Design, Development, Unit Testing, Documentation
This client is a leader in document management offering a wide array or products
and services in the industry. One of the services it is recently planning to
look into content management for their existing clients.
The project which I was part of since its inception was aimed at looking at
various content systems and various technologies that can be used for a
repository. The project started with looking into Microsoft Azure offerings for
platform components. It involved creating a platform to act as a base for various
kinds of content offerings. We were required to design a database to act as a
base for the platform for content system. Beside from the platform, it also
involved looking into various services to put on the platform involving content
options on MS Azure, Sharepoint, SalesForce.
Responsibilites
• Researching the new offerings by Microsoft in Azure.
• Designing the database design for a platform for a multi party content
management.
• Prototype platform components using Microsoft Azure platform and SDK’s.
• Exploration of the cloud computing stack, adoption of the new development
paradigm on the “Cloud OS”
• Exploring the capabilities of hosting simple storage and SDS SDK’s on Azure.
• Exploring Sharepoint online to adopt to an application requiring storage of
scanned documents on Sharepoint content storage.
• Using Sharepoint web services for storing content, creating folder structures
etc.
• Adding features with Sharepoint designer for the purpose of sending email
alerts from Sharepoint online
• Exploring Force.com(Salesforce.com) and its various features for content
storage purposes.
• Utilizing wsdl’s at force.com and incorporating them in code to provide
another content storage base and incorporated with the platform.
Client: Eastman Kodak / Parx Group
Duration: June 2008 – Oct 2008
Role: Design, Development, Unit Testing, Documentation
This client is a leading Picture making company in US. It has got several
divisions including making of cameras to film to picture maker kiosks.
This project is for the concept of Kodak Dry Labs known as the APEX Systems. It
involves a windows application which has to interact with several hardware
devices including printers and CD/DVD dispensers.
Each functionality created needs to be used in different navigation for
different clients. This is obtained by designing the entire application using
Microsoft UIP.
Responsibilities:
• Creation of Win Forms using Windows UIP.
• Creating views and controllers in C# and combining them using XML.
• Use of XML for navigation among different views and controllers.
• Use of SQL Server 2005 using Microsoft business objects to interact with the
front end.
• Creation of reusable code components in such a way that multiple views are
available for use by multiple controllers. This was achieved with the help of
designing navigation through XML.
• To suggest the look and feel of functionalities required to facilitate easy
customer access on a touch screen.
• Use of custom built controls for UI purposes.
• Extensive documentation using Microsoft Visio.
• Interaction with different hardware attached to a picture maker including
printers and CD/DVD dispensers.
• Each win form is to be used for multiple purposes. This is achieved by making
each form independent of its past one and using navigation XML for moving in the
application.
