WORK EXPERIENCE
United American Insurance, McKinney TX - Senior Developer	02/2008 to 09/2009
* Successfully lead a team of developers in creating a new Customer Relationship
Management tool that increased reliability over the old system. Configured IIS
web environment on staging and production boxes. Worked with graphic artist in
developing layout of web pages and styles. Mentored junior developer while
developing the ASP.Net 2.0/VB.Net pages in Visual Studio 2005. Designed and
implemented the SQL Server 2005 database utilizing Microsoft Visio. Worked with
DBAs in creating and maintaining stored procedures in SQL and TSQL. Created
console applications utilizing VB.Net and IMAP as well as implemented automation
of jobs to run the executables utilizing SSIS. Configured and implemented version
control with Visual Source Safe. These efforts improved database responsiveness,
allowed for scalability and reduced maintenance costs. 

* Successfully redesigned an application and database used by agents to capture
customer information on their laptops. Configured and implemented version control
with Visual Source Safe.  Utilized Microsoft Visio to reverse engineer existing
SQL Server 2000 database and modify it to allow for addition of new insurance
forms. Used Visual Studio 2005 to modify the ASP.Net/VB.Net front end to
accommodate the new forms additions. Modified the Web Services used for uploading
the forms data. This effort resulted in increased performance and the addition of
new and diverse insurance forms.

* Led team in developing and implementing coding standards for future projects. 
This included an IT group wide standardized error reporting and tracking
methodology utilizing Web Services created with Visual Studio 2005 and VB.Net and
a SQL Server 2005 database.

Oversaw .Net training initiatives to train 60 C and PowerBuilder developers in
C#, .Net framework and ASP.Net. Administered a SharePoint portal sub-site for the
group.

* Technical lead, .Net mentor, and architect leading effort to convert existing
old ASP web based Medicaid provider interface to ASP.Net/VB.Net for the EDS
Little Rock Arkansas account. Implemented development environment for group of
developers that included setting up web site in IIS, configuring Visual Source
Safe and mentoring developers in VB.Net. Reverse engineered and maintained Oracle
