Provide software support to the Mission Operations Directorate at NASA Johnson
Space Center.
Responsibilities include the implementation and maintenance of space vehicle
trajectory simulation and
analysis software used in support of space shuttle flight design and Mission
Control Center console
support. Duties involve all phases of the software lifecycle process, including
requirements definition,
analysis, modification, enhancement, development, documentation, and testing of
the software.
Develop, integrate, test, analyze and trouble shoot safety critical trajectory
simulation software and
post-simulation data processing tools.
Modify and maintain safety critical software used to analyze trajectory data by
NASA Mission Control
Center for both Ascent and Descent console operators.
Developed requirements, designed, implemented and tested with JUNIT, a series of
JAVA applications to
aid engineers in the planning, controlling and analyzing of spacecraft
trajectories.
Performed multiple re-hosts of software between different UNIX platforms and
from UNIX to Linux.
Collaborated on the development of a JAVA based 6 degree of freedom trajectory
simulation. Received a
USA Quest Award for Excellence Performance for the team's work on the
simulation.
Internal ISO auditor who supported the FDOC Internal ISO audit in February
2011.
Provided support to Safety Quality Mission Assurance Department by performing
matrix auditing. Received
a Certificate of Appreciation for support to achieve the Lean Six Sigma project
objectives for the USA
Flight Operations Software Quality Assurance Matrix Auditor Process.
Conduct "close out" activities in preparation for the retirement of the Space
Shuttle Program such as
identifying affected applications, identifying all components necessary to
