complex address application that involved a multi-platform
implementation that included mainframe, mid-range running Websphere 6.0 and
client based browser input.

Implementation of a component of a Learning Management System that was
prototyped in Access.  The application was then decided to become a distributed
application.  This was to be done by the reverse engineering of the existing
Access application to a Struts based application.  The application consisted of
Course Tracking component, Classroom tracking component, and an Instructor
component. 

Sept 2007 – Dec 2007
Department of Education
Provided a Department of Education affiliate development project that would
provide a certification tracking system for all candidates within the education
arena.   This project entailed design, creation, and documentation of data
objects that conformed to the companies’ business needs.  This project utilized
the Oracle ADF/BC4J framework which entailed Entity definition, Association
definitions for the data access services, Managed Bean definition that provided
presentation logic for the JSF page.  All database object creation, stored
procedures and functions were created as the application warranted.  
     
Aug 2006 – Jan 2007
United State Air Force
Provided Java development for a Struts based web application that performed data
collection for the US Navy.  This was a 6 month project that allowed for the
collection of personal information for the DoD Accessions program that would then
be submitted to the DoD security clearance system.  The front-end data collection
was deployed to an Oracle Application Server (9 then and was later ported to
10.1.2). The submission of the collected data was a Web Service that transmitted
an XML document via JAX-RPC to the DoD security clearance system.  The
development was performed in an Oracle JDeveloper 10.1.2 environment with MKS
backed Software Configuration Management system.  Oracle database objects were
forwarded to the Database Administrators for action to be taken.

MY responsibilities were as an Application Developer, provided analysis and
programming in Java for a Customer Relation Management Application which utilized
a custom Java framework from Chordiant Software.  I assisted support in problem
determination, performance deficiencies and defect management within a
multi-tiered environment running on a WebSphere Application Server 5.0.  I also
assisted in the maintenance of the development environment which utilized
WebSphere Application Developer 5.0, Rational Rose Modeling and StarTeam Version
Control system.
 
As a System Programmer I provided technical support for a hybrid E-Commerce site
that consisted of a Microsoft Windows NT Server with Internet Information Server
and a Netscape Application server running Java applogics on two SUN Enterprise
10000.  Designed and implemented code migration from revision control system into
the Netscape Application servers.  I diagnosed system problems ranging from
configuration to Java code deficiencies, LDAP session state information, virtual
hosting, HTTP diagnostics, and Secure Socket Layer certificates.  I was part of a
project team that migrated Java applications from Netscape Application Server to
WebSphere 3.5.  I also provide assistance that migrated WebSphere 3.5 Java
applications to WebSphere 5.0.  I also designed and implemented a disaster
recovery of the WebSphere Application Server 5.0 and Site failover to a remote
location.

Application Engineer, team member whose responsibilities included the
development of a Sun Ultra-60 based Medical Imaging Server with Sun A1000 Raid
storage devices, and a UNIX based image viewing workstation on a SUN Ultrasparc
II with Sun StorEdge multipacks using Solaris Disksuite.  Implemented and
designed the development environment for a UNIX network running NIS providing
version control and network management procedures.  This position required
experience with SUN Workshop Development Tools, Korn, C-Shell and Bourne shell
programming, and UNIX utilities (i.e. awk, telnet, ftp, and sed). Designed and
implemented mass storage devices utilizing DISC Optical Libraries and AMASS file
system software.
 
Information Systems Engineer, whose responsibilities included maintaining an IPX
Novell Network,a TCPIP based network including HP 9000 Server, HP3000 Server,
Novell Server, and workstations ranging from PC to Sparcstation 5.  Document and
implement a frame relay network connecting    various divisions of E-Systems
through a Cicso Router.  Design and implement an Internet mail    server,  Web
server, and Domain Name Server on an HP 9000/D250 running HP-UX 10.10, Design   
and implement a custom firewall utilizing a PC, Linux Operating System, and TIS
Firewall Toolkit.  Design and evaluate a Microsoft Systems Management Server to
maintain software and company equipment.

Provided technical support to customer inquires concerning a custom, automated
accounting system.  Quality Assurance tested new application on an AS/400
midrange computer.  Create and test custom reports utilizing Sequel Report
Writer.  Maintain a network of 12 PC workstations operating on IBM Token Ring and
IBM LAN.  I would troubleshoot hardware and software problems on the 12
workstations operating on DOS 3.3 to 5.0.
 
Problem Management Center/Specialty Functions
I served as a troubleshooter of mainframe applications including the interface
of over 50 different airline Computer Reservation Systems.  I provided feedback
on setting new and revising old procedures for resolving subscriber problems. 
Initial contact between System One and other airline, car, and hotel companies
concerning interface problems Primary contact between internal help desk of over
350 people concerning inbound and outbound teletype messages that would be
processed by other airline, car, and hotel companies.  Provided support for the
Legal department on contractual issues with subscribers and suppliers.
