Description: Perform specialized Human Resources activities associated with the
development and implementation of Learning and Organizational Development.
Accomplishments:
* Represented L&OS on Quality Management Systems team with task of preparing
for United Laboratories Triennial ISO audit in Austin, resulting in an assessment
score of 96.5 and a record of the fewest findings on a triennial audit.
Additionally, support numerous other customer compliance and training audits.
* In support of First Line Leader Development Project, co-led technology
sub-team to develop Supervisors Online Support (SOS) website, which consolidated
and organized all information necessary for First Line Leaders in one place. The
SOS was identified as an Inc-wide best practice and was transitioned to an
enterprise-wide tool.
* Streamlined process for 360-type panel assessments for Operations Program
Managers, utilizing virtual communication during facilitation. Panel Assessments
result in a feedback report which is provided to the individual's direct
supervisor for the purpose of determining development needs. Development
opportunity suggestions are provided upon request.
* Led the team responsible for development and implementation of new L
consolidating three separate websites into one website; and periodic review,
monitoring, and updating of website.
* Created and implemented a phased-year plan for Operations Program Managers to
ensure compliance with training requirements.
* Developed and implemented Learning and Development orientation process for
contract employees and new hires.
* Recognized serious lack of Learning Management System user knowledge in
Operations department. Provided instruction as needed to assist individuals in
attaining a working knowledge of the system, resulting in all Operations
personnel having the ability to access the system and complete mandatory and
personal development training.
* In support of Austin site integration with main BAE Systems business sector,
assessed Austin Operations training courses to determine which courses would
remain as equivalents in relation to the Operations Functional Training Profile
(FTP). As a result, the Austin training matrix became the comprehensive listing
of the operating group, line of business, and site specific training for Austin
Operations.
* Assisted Austin Operations personnel in: developing training goals,
objectives and requirements during the annual employee training planning process;
coordinated and reviewed inputs with management; documented the training plans;
and scheduled training as needed to support the requirements as identified by the
training plans.
* Worked in close collaboration with Austin Operations management on a LEAN
initiative to combine individual training courses into skills certifications
according to functional roles. This activity reduced 38 training requirements to
14 certifications that replaced multiple documents into one per role.
* Facilitation of leadership soft-skills training, such as the Development
Dimensions Inc. Managing for Performance three-day courses in locations across
the line of business.
* Created Communicating Non-Defensively course for Austin Operations group.
Developed the curriculum with relevance to the Operations employees' day to day
activities, presented the course to and influenced buy-in of stake-holders, and
conducted training to 140 Operations employees.

Description: Procure materials, equipment, supplies and services of a highly
specialized and complex nature which may require alterations or customizing to
meet the requestor's specific need and specifications. This was accomplished
following established and approved procurement policies and procedures in order
to provide the lowest cost consistent with quality and service requirements while
maintaining good supplier relations.
Accomplishments:
* Responsible for successfully facilitating the implementation of the Exostar
reverse auction process for Austin Procurement. This involved attending Exostar
training in Herndon, VA, becoming proficient in the process, and conducting
training and coaching for the Austin Procurement organization.
* Responsible for training of approximately 20 people in various purchasing
activities, including: procurement aspects of the online logistics system, Buy
Site purchasing and company credit card reconciliation. The training took place
at two BAE Systems facilities.
* Performed timely procurement of production materials in support of Austin,
Texas, and Mojave, California delivery schedules, purchase of services, leases,
and other various items in accordance with company policies and Federal
Acquisition Regulations. Built strong professional relationships with supplier
representatives that resulted in successful pricing negotiations. This included
negotiating pricing with training vendors to obtain the best possible value for
the service provided.
* When procurement discrepancies arose, utilized negotiation and conflict
resolution skills with internal customers and suppliers to influence a positive
outcome for both parties.

Description: Performed a variety of moderately-complex administrative activities
necessary to formulate methods and procedures for increased efficiency, and to
assure departmental adherence to existing company practices in the operation of
the Manufacturing Document Control Center.
Accomplishments:
* Supervision and training of five employees in the Manufacturing Document
Control Center in the maintenance and control of manufacturing documents.
Provided on-the-job training which included computer applications, processes,
policies, and customer service. Assigned employee tasks and responsibilities and
