Description:  Combined tool is a project that is used to generate Report for
auditing. It consists of repositories like Oracle Apps and People Soft. In these
repositories various information are stored from which reports are generated.
Basically the project has two parts one is a desktop part and other is a web
part. In the web part we upload some files in text format and from this text
files we generate some xml files that is used for report generation. The report
part is generated through the Desktop application.

Centre for advanced research (CAR) is developing an application (Aura) which
would allow the auditors to do most of the audit documentation electronically
integrated inside one application. The project follows the agile methodology. As
a member of offshore QA team, Ambarish’s task was to extensively test the
application (Aura Client) mainly following exploratory technique, and report
defects using team foundation server (TFS).He was also a dedicated resource for
Automation Testing using QTP.
The project involves test case preparation, execution of those test cases,
In-Dev testing (Testing in development environment, focusing only in specified
area’s), Regression testing using Mercury Quality Centre, Exploratory testing
(testing without using any written test steps or using minimal written test
steps), issue reporting and defect logging if any. Since the project follows
agile methodology Ambarish needs to constantly interact with the development
team, reproduce bugs on their request, keep abreast with the frequent requirement
changes and update test strategies accordingly. Ambarish was also required to
execute Build verification testing (BVT, smoke test) to validate the new builds,
as and when required. He was involved in the automation testing and writing
scripts in QTP. 
In addition Ambarish was also actively related for the development activities
and has extensively used C# and SQL Server 2005.
