Senior Software Consultant

Responsibilities for a Carmel, Indiana-based life & health insurance provider
include design, analysis, coding, and testing of system enhancements for a health
insurance system using COBOL LE, CICS, and VSAM.  Participated in design,
analysis, coding, and testing, for a project to extract data from four different
versions of a life Insurance system to be displayed on a common Customer Service
system using COBOL 370, CICS, VSAM, MDp, and MQ Series.

Responsibilities in Indianapolis, Indiana for a Bloomington, Illinois-based
auto, life & homeowner’s insurance company included participating in a project to
convert a Batch Assembler life insurance legacy system to COBOL LE/CICS/MQ
Series.  Charged with analyzing Assembler code and writing programming
specifications for developers to use in writing structured COBOL LE modules. 
Also participated in system testing and COBOL LE module modifications.  Acted as
team leader for system delivery and warranty work.

Responsibilities for a San Francisco, California-based Child Welfare/Child
Support Tracking and Collection system included design, analysis, coding, and
testing of modifications to on-line screens and batch programs using IDMS/ADSO
and COBOL LE.  Also responsible for generating ad hoc reports using EZTrieve+.

Senior Software Consultant

Responsibilities for a Carmel, Indiana-based life & health insurance provider
included , as a member of the Project Management Team, participating in design,
analysis, coding, testing, and tracking for a project to: (1) reconstruct a
Health Insurance customer service system to be able to display relevant data for
Annuity and Life policies; and (2) extract data from multiple life insurance and
annuity systems to be displayed on the now-common Customer Service system using
COBOL 370, CICS, VSAM, and MQ Series. Previous responsibilities included testing
Assembler, COBOL, QuikJob, EZTrieve, and SAS code renovations made to several
life and health insurance systems for Y2K compliancy.  Also renovated COBOL and
QuikJob programs to make them Y2K compliant.

Responsibilities for a San Francisco, California-based Child Welfare/Child
Support Tracking and Collection system included design, analysis, coding, and
testing of new on-line screens and batch programs using IDMS/ADSO and COBOL II. 
Also responsible for maintenance of and modifications to existing on-line screens
and batch programs.

Responsibilities for an Indianapolis, Indiana-based health insurance provider
included supervisor of the SEEC Year 2000 Tool Factory and operator of SEEC Code
Renovation Tools for this Blue Cross/Blue Shield Insurance company.  Personally
processed over 5 million lines of code in nine months.  Also re-wrote COBOL
subroutines provided by SEEC.  Also responsible for maintaining statistics
concerning the productivity of the SEEC Tool operators and the progress of the
SEEC Tool Factory.

Field Manager and Consultant

Responsibilities for a Fishers, Indiana-based student loan servicer included
analysis, construction, and testing of various on-line and batch modules for a
new Lender Servicing System for Student Loans using IDMS/ADSO and COBOL.  Acted
as a Project Leader for a project to provide follow-up service and reporting for
pre printed applications mailed to borrowers and not yet returned.  Provided
on-line and batch maintenance and enhancement support for the Pre Printed
Applications System.  Also provided support for the Lender Servicing System,
including investigation into and correction of on-line and batch errors and
abends, and analysis, coding, and testing for major and minor system
enhancements.  Also acted as a consultant and mentor for IDMS coding for less
experienced programmers.

Responsibilities in Indianapolis, Indiana for a Columbus, Ohio-based bank
included writing programs and loading VSAM files for the conversion of Trust
portfolios using CICS and COBOL.  Provided support for maintenance of and
enhancements to the Mortgage Loan System.  Wrote several programs to extract data
from Mortgage Loan files for ad-hoc reporting.

several-years long Honeywell to IBM conversion project during which I accepted

implemented programs as part of a Ledger Reconciliation System using COBOL and
