Senior Systems Analyst – Bank of America – 04/15/2009 – 09/22/2009 – My
responsibilities included the development of SQL databases, stored procedures,
views, data marts, data warehouses and OLAP environments. Report development
including both normal SSRS report development and MDX reporting against SQL
Analysis Server database sources. I was responsible for the development and
maintenance of a multi-server SQL and OLAP environment which utilized automated
nightly SSIS data migration through scheduled jobs for routine data refreshing.
I was also responsible for the administration and troubleshooting of the SQL
servers performance and daily operation. Daily use of SQL Management Studio and
Visual Studio including SSRS, SSIS, ETL package development, OLAP cube
development, Business Intelligence scoreboard development and data architecture.
Senior Systems Analyst – Wachovia – 01/19/2009 – 04/15/2009 – My
responsibilities included the design and development of an automated business
intelligence reporting system for the companies OCS (Office Communication Server)
and QoE (Quality of Experience) applications. This included extensive business
analysis to determine the metrics and performance counters to determine the MOS
(Mean Opinion Scores) to use to roll-up to a world-wide “Standard Quality Sigma”
to weigh all corporate entities. Using SQL 2005 I developed a reporting data
warehouse, which involved creating ETL packages using SSIS migration and data
conversion steps, all launched from SQL scheduled jobs. The project included
extensive SSRS report development, said reports being deployed over the Web using
Sharepoint. This project involved meeting with project sponsors, business unit
managers and other IT department heads to first develop a Proof of Concept and
then to implement the project in the production environment. Development of an
OLAP cube Proof of Concept and development of supporting schemas is currently
under construction.
Senior Systems Analyst – Swisher Hygiene International – 04/01/2007 –
01/15/2009. My responsibilities include the conceptualization and design of very
large multidimensional and relational database models that integrated with
Microsoft Great Plains ERP software platform. This business intelligence system
encompassed the development and administration of a 5 terabyte SQL Server 2005
environment which incorporated several aspects of SQL Server Management Studio
and Microsoft’s Visual Studio including (SSAS) Analysis Services to integrate
several custom OLAP cubes into Microsoft’s Great Plains cube environment, (SSIS)
Integration Services to migrate data into both the Analysis Services environment
as well as the data warehouse for (SSRS) reporting and Replication Services to
bring critical aspects of the performance model into a non transactional
environment. Over 100 SSRS reports were developed using the data warehouse and
OLAP environment as data sources. This position also involved managerial aspects
including personnel assignment, team leadership, job oversight, equipment and
space utilization, and all facets of SQL database administration including
troubleshooting, optimization tuning and performance analysis. The data
environment encompasses 90+ instances of Microsoft’s Great Plains ERP software.
Other affiliated software systems include Sharepoint, ActiveDirectory, and third
party monitoring tools such as Idera and RedGate. The hardware environment
includes active/passive clustered SANs with both RAID5 and RAID10 configurations.
SQL Support Engineer – Microsoft, Inc. 03/01/06 – 03/01/07. Contractor to
Microsoft’s support center in Charlotte, N.C. My duties involved Tier III
technical support and troubleshooting SQL Server Data Engine technologies for
Microsoft Gold Member developers. Communication skills, joined with an advanced
knowledge of SQL’s internal architecture and troubleshooting skills were
essential attributes for this position. I assisted Microsoft SQL Server 2000
developers and programmers with SQL Server Engine related problems. This
included issues such as I/O, Memory and CPU usage, data corruption and
fragmentation, backup and restoration problems, bottlenecks, deadlocks, bugs,
hotfixes, and other issues involving the database engine. This was a Tier-III
support position assisting senior Microsoft developers on a daily basis. Daily
use of SQL Server versions 2005, 2000, 7.0 and MSDE. In addition, daily use of
Microsoft internal tools and troubleshooting utilities such as PSSDiag, SQLDiag,
Read80Trace, OSStresss, etc. were used to gather system data from client sites in
order to diagnose and resolve SQL Server issues.
Sightful Project Manager, Isystant, Inc. 09/01/04 – 02/01/06. Sightful Project
Manager - Isystant, Inc. 09/01/04 - Present. Duties include ERP data modeling
of the “Sightful” software package and acting as project manager, SQL Database
Administrator and Support Specialist during the development of the software
package. Additional duties including acting as contract application developer,
data modeler and SCADA integrator for clients of Isystant, Inc.. I was
responsible for the co-development and marketing of the company’s “Sightful”
business intelligence software as well as working with the company’s client base
as a consultant and application developer. I provided strategic and tactical
direction and advice to the company President, Scott Pendleton. I worked with
the Tulsa Chamber of Commerce and their sister entity I2E, Inc. in raising
venture capital for a national marketing campaign. Communication skills were
essential to the performance of my duties, as was the ability to successfully
interact with senior management and team leaders of Isystant’s customers base.
Duties included data modeling and application development, both internally and
for Isystant’s client base, as well as acting as an SQL DBA, both internally
managing the company’s multiple SQL servers and as a consultant assisting
Isystant’s customer DBA’s and developers. Application development often required
“ground-up” design, data modeling and development of custom applications from
conception through implementation and training. Daily use of ASP, SQL Server
2000, Visual Basic 6.0, HTML, JavaScript, Access, Excel, SCADAVision, PCVue,
PlantVue, and periodic use of ASP.Net, .Net, C++ and C#, and other proprietary
software applications such as TBS, Network Strategies, Excaliber and others.. I
reported directly to the company president.
Independent Contractor - Senior Systems Analyst/Programmer. TEK Systems, GDH
Consulting, RHI and Search Engine - 03/01/02 – 09/01/04 I was responsible for
the design and programming of custom software applications for a variety of firms
in Oklahoma and Arkansas. I was a team leader and project manager for various
projects. Projects included the design of a collection of accounting database
applications used in approximately 20,000 schools throughout the United States.

Senior Systems Analyst/Programmer/SQL DBA. Williams Communications. 07/01/00 –
03/01/02. I was responsible for Rapid Application Development (RAD) for the
Service Delivery Department. I was the primary IT support personnel for the
Service Delivery Department troubleshooting any and all software issues and acted
as the liaison between the IT Department. I acted as SQL DBA for a project
involving the creation of a data warehouse reporting system, comprised of data
from two legacy systems. I was responsible for the training and supervision of
IT team members for the data warehouse project. I was responsible for the data
cleansing and conversion of the same two legacy systems into next generation
software application (Siebel) for provisioning and accounting. Daily use of SQL
Server 2000, MS Access 2002, Visual Basic 6.0, Siebel Sales & Provisioning,
TIBCO Messenger and other software platforms.
Systems Analyst/Programmer Consultant. Central and Southwest Services (AEP).
10/98 – 06/0***- Team leader of a group of five programmers with a mandate to
convert all MS Access applications from Access 2.0 to Access 2000 over a nine
month period. This included over 600 applications over a WAN consisting of some
7,000 workstations. This project included 16bit to 32bit VBA DLL code rewrites
as well as design modifications and enhancements. Also responsible for the
design, implementation and administration of numerous MS Access and SQL database
applications throughout the company. Daily use of SQL Server 2000, MS Access,
Crystal Reports, Excel, PowerPoint.
Systems Analyst/Programmer Consultant. The Money Store. 11/01/97 – 10/01/98.
Responsible for the “ground-up” design, implementation and management of the
company’s reporting databases. This included a series of interrelated autonomous
databases for Bankruptcy, Foreclosure, Resale and Litigation processes. I was
the Team Leader of the programming staff supervising three contract application
developers. Daily use of SQL Server, MS Access, Excel, Word.
President and CEO. LegalSoft Consulting Services. 09/10/87 – 10/30/98. I was
the founder, President and CEO of a contract application development and
consulting firm which designed and developed hundreds of custom applications for
a variety of firms across Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas and Kansas. For eleven years
I successfully operated LegalSoft, supervising a team of up to fifteen
developers, programmers and supporting staff. I was also personally responsible
for the design, implementation, training and documentation of customized software
applications; primarily for law firms, insurance companies and health care
providers. This involved the ground-up design of custom applications using a
variety of software products and platforms including SQL, ASP, JavaScript,
Access, Visual Basic, HTML, Novel, XML, Paradox, and others, and handled
integration issues with a wide range of third party software. I developed and
supervised an internal help desk responsible for supporting all applications
developed by LegalSoft personnel, as well as providing support for client
hardware, network and infrastructure issues. Daily use of ASP, HTML, XML, XSLT,
SQL, Crystal Reports, Access, Excel, Wyse, Word, PowerPoint, and others.
Systems Analyst – Ervin, Cohen & Jessup. 05/01/89 – 09/03/92. Responsible
for the design and implementation of all MS Access application as well as the
administration of the firm’s Novel network and management of the word processing
department. Daily use of MS Access, Paradox, Novel 4x, WordPerfect, Word, Excel,
Lotus 123, Lexis, Timeslips, Great Plains, and Timeslips and accounting software.
Administrator – Attorney General of Texas 02/15/87 – 04/20/89. Responsible for
the administration of all office and support staff and managerial concerns for
all departments and personnel other than those directly related to personnel
management of the state’s assistant attorney generals. Duties included budget
development, direct supervision of all office administrative functions and
supervision of the human resources department. Was responsible for the
development of a case tracking database and data warehouse reporting system when
the Attorney General’s office took over the responsibility for enforcement of the
state’s Child Support Enforcement Act. We inherited over 250,000 files without
any database tracking or reporting system to support the responsibilities. This
was my first exposure to application development and the success of the project
was what changed my career path from administration to Information Technology.
