􀂃 Clarksonville Technologies Technical Architect 01/2007 – Present
Significant Accomplishments
Harris County Justice Information Management System(JIMS)– Played a lead role in
the architecture, design, and development of core subsystems of the Information
System that manages the Adult Probation processes for Harris County, the nation’s
second largest county. This system was built using IBM Websphere Application
Server accessing a DB2 Relational Database and having integration points to
legacy mainframe applications built on Model 204 and VSAM based technologies
Clarian Hospital Patient Portal Application– Played an instrumental role in the
architecture, design, and development of a Java-based web application used for
the purpose of gathering and storing vital information for patients throughout
Clarian Hospital’s Medical Information System. This system was built using an ATG
Dynamo Application Server accessing an Oracle Database.
Clarian Hospital Physician Information Directory– Played a lead development role
in the implementation of a Java-based web application used for the purpose of
searching through a directory of physicians maintained throughout various
Information Systems.

Significant Accomplishments
Asset Management Platform (A.M.P.)– As the lead architect on this project, I was
responsible for architecting and designing all aspects of the technical
infrastructure that enabled the remote tracking of customer assets being
transported via railcars, trucks, or ships. Using cellular communication
technologies (i.e. GSM/GPRS), we developed a system that enabled remote hardware
devices to be installed on customer assets and communicate pertinent information
concerning an asset to a centralized server running on a Windows Server 2003
platform and built on Java Messaging Service, IBM Websphere MQ (MQ Series),
Microsoft .Net, and SQL Server Technologies. This system currently serves as a
critical asset tracking and management solution for many Fortune 500 companies.
A.M.P. Data Integration Layer – Architected and designed a Service Oriented
Architecture (S.O.A.) to enable customers to interact with the asset management
data gathered by the A.M.P. system. Using this architecture, our team was able to
build web services for retrieving pertinent customer data stored on the internal
A.M.P. system. This flexible architecture enabled the development of internal
customer applications for consuming the information provided by the A.M.P. web
services layer.

Significant Accomplishments
Major Oilfield Services Company– As a lead technical architect, I was
responsible for the architecture and design of a J2EE-based enterprise-wide
Internet portal application accessible to internal employees as well as corporate
customers. This portal enabled customers to browse and select detailed
information on the company’s product offering, submit requests for quotes, and
access well data in real-time. The portal also
enabled internal employees to perform various administrative tasks related to
servicing the customer’s needs. The portal provided integration points into a
variety of systems, including SAP™ for customer account information, PeopleLink™
for employee profile information, Interwoven™ for content management, and single
sign-on access to internal production applications for access to live well data.
The core technologies used on this project include Java Server Pages, Java
Servlets, BroadVision™ Commerce Server, WebMethods™ Integration Server, and
Interwoven™ Content Management.
Oilfield Drilling Services Provider – As a lead architect, I was part of a team
tasked with designing an Intranet portal application that would provide employees
easy access to internally sensitive corporate communications, human resources
services, internal project communications, and single sign-on access to internal
applications. This project also included a detailed technology evaluation for
comparing leading portal application vendors such as Microsoft™ Sharepoint,
Plumtree™ Corporate Portal, and BEA™ WebLogic Portal.
Major Oilfield Services Company – I was responsible for designing an
architecture for integrating a J2EE Web Portal application with an internal
Visual Basic application. This solution involved designing Microsoft .Net web
service wrappers which invoked the functionality present in the Visual Basic
DLLs. Java web service clients were then designed on the J2EE application server
which would invoke the functionality present in the .Net web services.
