 Lead typographer on The Joseph Smith Papers, Vol. I and Revelations and
Translations a major documentary project for the Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints. This will be an ongoing project for the next decade.

Deseret Book Company, Salt Lake City, Utah. Oct. 1998 * Feb. 2008 Retired
 Lead Typographer: Responsible for scheduling, tracking, and execution of all
typography related to the products produced in the publishing department. Worked
with editors and designers to produce galleys, scan photography, layout book
interiors, make corrections to galleys under direction of editor, prepare
electronic files for printer, and all other aspects involved in producing books
for publication. Responsible for learning aspects of publication software and
then training employees in the same. Set up and maintained all archiving of
electronic files. Aided graphic designers in producing cover designs for books.
Typeset over 400 books during employment. 
 
Lettersetters Typography, Orem, Utah, 1985 * 1998
 Owner and operator of digital Service Bureau. Responsible for all aspects of
owning and operating company including training and supervising of all personnel.
Typeset all types of materials from books to pamphlets, forms, resumes,
advertising material. Worked with traditional Linotype typesetting equipment
until advent of imagesetters and postscript compatible computers and equipment.
First service bureau in the state of Utah to go to strictly postscript output.
Produced matchprints and bluelines, and scanned photographs digitally. Quark „

Skills: Proficient in QuarkXpress and Adobe InDesign, with good working
knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Microsoft Word. Quark „
