Objectives:

Job Experience:
Flying J, Inc., 1104 Country Hills Dr. Ogden, UT 84403 – August 2008 – present. 
Sr. Programmer Analyst.  Primary responsibilities include maintenance of existing
COBOL programs and analysis and design of new programs or enhancements for the
mainframe system.  Provide support for the Lawson Human Resources system using
UNIX scripting and MicroFocus COBOL.  Provide support and development of Oracle
based systems using PL/SQL stored procedures.  Additional experience in Perl
scripting & Crystal Reports.

American National Insurance Co., One Moody Plaza, Galveston, TX 77550 – November
1994 – July 2007.  Database Analyst, Sr. Programmer Analyst, Business Analyst. 
Primary responsibilities included building and maintaining databases in a
Mainframe environment, data modeling, creating and maintaining programs in COBOL,
REXX, & C-List, creating and maintaining JCL, maintaining CICS environments,
creating SQL for reporting, performance and tuning, integration of modifications
and new programs, and documentation.  Additional responsibilities included
software installation, interviewing users for business requirements, security,
extensive system testing, and implementation of system upgrades.  I am proficient
in COBOL, REXX, C-list, JCL, SQL, DB2, & CICS.  I have had exposure to UNIX shell
scripting, Assembler, Webfocus, FOCUS, Rally, & Axure.  I have studied
Javascript, HTML, CSS and VB.NET.

Graduated from Olympus High School, Salt Lake City, UT in May 1981.  3.6 GPA
I attended University of Utah 1982 – 1983 and North Harris County College 1983 –
1985
3.2 GPA.  My major course of study was Business and Engineering.
I have received ACS and FLMI designations from LOMA.
