•Defense contractor working onsite for the United States Army Human Resources
Command, Military Awards Branch. Hold a current Secret security clearance.
•Respond in writing to a large volume of daily correspondence from U.S. Army
Soldiers and Veterans inquiring about various awards.
•Determine authorizations of awards for current combat operations - as well as
previous era combat awards - based on interpretation of Army regulations, laws,
and historical military research.
•Subject Matter Expert on current combat awards and possessor of vast knowledge
of current combat operations due to daily examination of casualty/serious
incident reports, situation reports, and eyewitness statements.
•Founding member of the team organized to make award determinations on the
Army's recently created Combat Action Badge. From project conception; organized
and developed processing procedures and data storage solutions in order to
properly analyze requests in a timely and efficient manner.
•Conduct historical military research necessary for the accurate and timely
verification of U.S. Army Awards referred by Senior Level Military Officials, the
White House, and Members of Congress.
