Professional Experience
Project Title # 1: Online Course Registration (Current Project)
Role: .Net Developer and Web Designer (Kamaraj College of Engineering)
Team Size: 6
Duration: November 2006 to till date
• Web based intranet course registration application will allow students to
register for courses and view report card from personal computers attached to the
campus LAN. Professors will be able to access the system to sign up to teach
courses as well as record grades.
• Using Course Registration system students may request a course catalog
containing a list of course offerings for the semester. Information about each
course, such as professor, department and prerequisites will be included to help
students make informed decisions.
• Professors will use the system to find out which course they will be teaching.
They will also need to see which students signed up for their course offerings.
In addition they will also be able to see which students signed up for their
course offerings and able to record the grades for the students in each class.
Accomplishments:
• Involved in creating business modules that includes grading, view grade
reports, registration and billing using C#. net
• Good Knowledge in Administrating the IIS 5.0 and used IIS 5.0. Admin Object
for administrating the web forms
• Used Microsoft® ActiveX® Data Objects (ADO.NET) to access information stored
in a database or other tabular data structure.
• Used Microsoft Management Console to administrate the Component Transactions
Software Used:
• ASP.NET 2.0, ASP, ADO.NET, VB.NET, VB6.0, html, JavaScript, vbscript, Adobe
Photoshop, Dream viewer 6.0, Visual Studio. NET, MS SQL Server 2000, IIS 5.0,
MMC
Project Title # 2: Home Builder
Role: Database Developer and Web Designer (PCI Consulting)
Team Size: 8
Duration: May 2004 – October 2006
• Web based and Standalone Application to assist Home Builders for marketing and
designing the product they build. Home Builder has developed a fully integrated
building management system that not only manages business processes, but brings
cutting edge concepts that create information always from its originating source.
Whether that source is the field supervisor, sales office, purchasing department,
loan finance, or land acquisitions and development departments.
• Design and developed modules that support the application on Electronic Sales
Contract, Sales office systems, Purchasing, Estimating, Legal Entity
Administration and Reporting, Critical Dates and Cash Management for Corporate,
Land Contract Administration, Legal Entity Administration and Reporting, Loan
Administration and Reporting
• Developed and implemented ASP.NET, VB.NET & C#. NET technology
• Developed business logic in Transact SQL Stored Procedures and SQL Functions
• Scheduling lets the management monitor the status of each house under
construction and field supervisors plan tasks for subcontractors. The Project
Scheduling module can also engage users in other forms of schedules beyond home
construction, such as sales campaigns and office administration. A Reporting
module allows for Daily Reporting of key business activities and immediate Hyper
Messaging delivered by email or pager. A manager can specify which events he or
she wants to be notified of in a personalized Daily Report or via Hyper Message.
Accomplishments:
• Used Latest Technology from Microsoft .Net Framework
• Good Knowledge on the Home Builders Business
• Good Knowledge in Administrating the IIS 5.0 and used IIS 5.0. Admin Object
for administrating the web forms
• Used Microsoft® ActiveX® Data Objects (ADO.NET) to access information stored
in a database or other tabular data structure.
• Used Microsoft Management Console to administrate the Component Transactions
Software Used:
• ASP.NET, ASP, ADO.NET, VB.NET, VB6.0, Far Point Spread 3.5, html, JavaScript,
vbscript, Adobe Photoshop, Dream viewer 6.0, Visual Studio. NET, MS SQL Server
2000, IIS 5.0, MMC
Project Title # 3: Source Management Techniques for Scheduling (College
Project)
Role: C++ Programmer
Team Size: 4
Duration: 3 months (6th August 2003 to 4th November 2003)
• Resource Management is a vital part of any organization trying to use its
resources in the most efficient and also to analyze the maximum work load the
resource can handle or can be used. This project analyzes a generic algorithm to
use the resources and analyze the break point on the utilization based on a
knowledge base.
Accomplishments:
• Converted the generic resource management algorithm to a computer logic which
generates reports based on the number of resources and different rules based on
the knowledge base acquired from the previous utilization of the resources.
Software Used:
Borland C++
Project Title # 4: Branch and Bound Algorithms for Single Machine Scheduling)
Role: C++ Programmer
Team Size: 4
Duration: 3 months (7th May 2003 to 4th November 2003)
• Optimality is the kernel target in any production industry. It is the bound
duty of the company management to achieve this target with no compromise in the
quality of the product.
Accomplishments:
• Design a system that converts the Earliest Due Date (EDD) rule and shortest
processing time in the Single Machine Scheduling into the computerized version.
Software Used:
Borland C++, ANSI C language
