My objective is to obtain a challenging position that will allow me to leverage
both my professional and academic strengths. I possess over sixteen years
experience working in Naval nuclear propulsion in positions that have allowed me
to develop my technical, supervisory, administrative, and analytical skills. I am
currently acting as a Division Leading Chief Petty Officer for the Reactor
Controls Division on board the USS Carl Vinson.

Division Leading Chief Petty Officer
2008-present
 	Organize and schedule watch rotation to maximize crew effectiveness performing
assigned maintenance items.
 
 
PPLAN Lead Network Administrator 
2005-present
 	Responsible for security, maintenance, troubleshooting, and administration of
a classified Windows NT network serving over 400 people from over 60 terminals
and five servers. 
 	Personally trained over 150 users and five network administrators on the use
of the department network and several applications. 
 	Developed multiple Access databases to improve departmental productivity. 
 	Acted as SOMS Administrator during underway steaming and refueling complex
overhaul. Acted as liaison between ship’s force and shipyard personnel.

 	Responsible for training 1,200 enlisted and officer students in safe reactor
plant operations. 
 	Taught over 1,500 students in the off crew phase of training. 
 	Served as Database Administrator ensuring the adequacy and accuracy of
equipment safety tags.
 
 
Reactor Technician
1998-present
 	Supervised maintenance personnel in the performance of preventative and
corrective maintenance on reactor instrumentation and control systems. 
 	Utilized test equipment, schematics, and technical manuals to diagnose system
malfunctions down to the component level. 
 	Performed complex troubleshooting and repair operations on nuclear power
instrumentation and reactor control rod systems, including control rod testing. 
 	Performed maintenance on pressure and temperature instruments as well as water
level and flow control systems, alarm and radiation detection indicators, and
reactor protection systems. 
 	Performed detailed test procedures such as reactor control rod system testing
and instrument alignment contributing to the ship’s readiness.

critical and shutdown conditions.
