CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
Mortgage Lending and Regulatory Compliance Consultant (March 2007 to Present)
Provide consulting and mortgage lending services from my home office on a
contract basis.

Home Equity Manager, SECU Credit Union of Maryland (March 2007 to Aug 2008)
Oversee and direct the underwriting, processing, documentation, booking, funding
and post-closing of mortgage loans.  Lead a team of 13.  Write policies and
procedures, underwrite loans, approve policy exceptions, create processes and
procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency, write test scripts and perform
systems testing for new lending software.  Achieved a perfect audit within first
6 mos.

Vice President, Encore Bank (May, 2002 to March, 2007)
Key member of a four man team who built a mortgage loan center from ground zero.
 Ramped volume from $0 to $6.5 million in 1st quarter.  Led team in all aspects
of data entry, processing, documentation, and funding of home equity and home
improvement loans submitted through indirect and retail channels.  Oversaw the
purchase of loans from correspondent lenders.  Underwrote loan applications,
performed legal research, approved subordinations and cleared investor “pend’s”
from loan sales to Key Bank and GMAC.  Wrote a 24 chapter policy manual.

Assistant Vice President, Washington Mutual Bank/Bank United (May, 1992 to May,
2002)
Envisioned, created and managed a new correspondent lending division for 2nd
lien mortgage loans.  Developed a comprehensive Excel spreadsheet that was used
to underwrite, document and fund the purchase of all Correspondent Loans. 
Single-handedly underwrote, processed and purchased over $5 million in
correspondent loans in a single month (approx 150 loans).  As a Loan Processor, I
ordered, reviewed and verified appraisal work, income, insurance, title work and
flood and prepared loan closing documents for 2nd lien mortgage loans. Originated
loans, annuities and deposits for a branch with $150 million in deposits. 
Motivated branch staff to win state-wide competition for account sales.  Won
awards for highest cross-sell ratio, highest number of loan originations and most
annuity sales.  First person, company-wide, to sell new American General Annuity;
within one hour of product launch.
