Objective

I am seeking to continue my career by managing a team focused on contributing to

Summary of Skills
•	Supervise/oversee a group of approximately ten project leaders and analysts in
an immunochemistry laboratory.
•	Manage project day to day progress: sample analysis, reagent preparation, data

8/2007 - 3/2009	Promoted to Senior Group Leader (Immunochemistry)
			Program Manager - Strategically develop and manage relationships with a major
client, representing over $3 million in annual revenue. This entailed daily
communications regarding ongoing studies, issues with their projects, project
time lines, and a weekly spreadsheet summarizing all studies currently in house.
Also responsible for, the accurate billing of sample analysis, communicating with
clients, ensuring client needs are met, and reviewing clinical and pre-clinical
protocols.  Serve as a mentor for junior members of the team and appropriately
assigning tasks to individuals based on their skill level. Communicate and
interact with support groups (information technology, technology support,
specimen management, and quality assurance) to ensure timely release of data and
efficient use of time.  Serve as a resource for my team in troubleshooting
instrumentation, extraction procedures and overall understanding of day-to-day
activities.   

6/2005 - 8/2007	Group Leader (Immunochemistry)
			Reviewed project data, notebooks and drafted final bioanalytical reports.
Gained exposure to immunochemistry technology (mainly ELISA analysis).

projects and provide updates on progression or problems.  Reviewed and approved
notebook entries made by junior staff.  Ensured that all projects are performed

9/2003 - 6/2005	Promoted to Group Leader (Chromatography)
			Reviewed project data, notebooks and drafted final bioanalytical reports.
Scheduled analysis of analytical projects across eleven gas chromatographs using
a team of approximately six analysts.  Responsible for communication with
department managers concerning assigned projects and provide updates on
progression or problems.  Reviewed and approved notebook entries made by junior
staff.  Ensured that all projects are performed and documented in accordance with
appropriate SOPs and regulations (GLP, OECD, MHLW).


3/1996 - 9/2003	Promoted to Senior Scientist (Gas Chromatography)
			The following duties are in addition to the Scientist duties:  plan and
organize work with minimal supervision; provide assistance and training to
Associate Scientists; set up and maintain analytical data in regards to
acceptability and consistency; problem solve, either independently or with
assistance, extraction and/or instrumentation problems.  Analyze samples via gas
chromatography.  Also developed liquid-liquid assays for analysis on gas
chromatography. Ensured that all appropriate SOPs and regulations (GLP, OECD,
MHLW) were followed and documented appropriately during each study.


6/1992 - 3/1996	Scientist (Gas and Liquid Chromatography)
			Responsibilities in this role were as follows:  extract biological matrix
samples to determine the levels of analytes of interest; read, comprehend and
carry out laboratory activities according to Standard Operating Procedures;
perform daily work assignments accurately, timely and in a safe manner; conduct
extraction procedures following written method or instructions; learn routine
operation, maintenance and theory of analytical instrumentation; communicate
project status to project leader; maintain laboratory/project notebook as
required by the Standard Operating Procedures.
