U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI), Rational
System Administrator and System Designer, March 2008-October 2008. Mr. Hurt
created ClearCase setup release area, Automated ClearCase functionalities; export
and import of ClearCase Vob data, implementation of ClearQuest change request and
RequisitePro requirements. Mr. Hurt created a model to use Rational RequisitePro
to manage a large volume of requirements. He initiated a system to prioritize
requirements and attributes. In ClearCase, Mr. Hurt performed VOB/database
administration, creation of components, directories and application user
projects. He defined branching scheme, naming conventions and baselines. As
ReqPro Administrator, he changed workflows, process and customizing requirement
types, attributes, and import processes. He configured Project and deployed
ReqWeb. As the ClearQuest Administrator Mr. Hurt developed ClearQuest schemas,
assign users and group logon rights, created a user database and production
database, as well as provided security protection and developed charts and
reports. Mr. Hurt provided mentoring on ClearQuest and ClearCase application for
the helpdesk staff and developers.
U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Transportation Security Administration
(TSA), Financial System Support Services, June 2007- March 2008. Mr. Hurt was
responsible for system administration tasks related to all financial systems used
by the client. Mr. Hurt was responsible for creating technical specifications for
modifications to the Access® database which was used to track user access to the
various systems. . He made modifications to the Access® Account Codes database
using visual basic to create functions for password protection and applied
filters. He was System Administrator for the Financial and Procurement Desktop
(FPD) application and authored numerous functional and technical reports related
to FPD used by TSA personnel. Mr. Hurt was a frequent user of Oracle Discoverer
in which reports were created for testing and running test scripts.
Home Builders Institute, IT Database Specialist, September 2005 - June 2007.
Department of Labor, Job Corp Project, Technical Analyst Sept-2005 - June-07 Mr.
Hurt was the report writer and the application administrator in support of HBI
Job Corps Instructors and Management. His activities included validation of data,
writing custom reports (using SQL Server Reporting Services and Crystal Reports
software). He implemented the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) process. Mr.
Hurt authored, the Essential Guide to User Data Application, which offers
detailed data field usage. The guide provides a 12-step approach for initial user
success, numerous resources and research methods and material.
U.S. Air Force, Information Management Specialist, January 1990 – May 2010
As an Information Management Systems Specialist, Mr. Hurt deployed to numerous
locations as a member of the Security Forces, and Information Management
Services. Mr. Hurt worked in a team support role for the development and
implementation missions using the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) process. Mr.
Hurt was the key resource in the development of a database system which was used
for member identification and job assignments. Mr. Hurt lead the squadron on
varies data administration missions using various data techniques. Mr. Hurt
provided supervision to the Security Forces and participated in Special
Operations.
Information Technology Inc., Tech Support Representative, March 1989 – April
2004
Intel, Sales project, Technical and Sales Representative As a part-time
Technical Support Representative for Information Technology Inc., Mr. Hurt worked
with a team of technicians in charge of delivering software and hardware products
to customers. Mr. Hurt was assigned to work on several ODBC related tasks, such
as importing Access® database to Oracle, designing and implementing SQL queries
to create Access® forms and reports.
