coverage
Since 1992, I was part of a department that provided support services to
lawyers, paralegals, professional assistants and other staff. Job requirements
consisted of creating, formatting and revising a wide variety of lengthy and
complex documents and presentation materials, including input, revisions,
scanning, proofreading and electronic transfers. Operated sophisticated software
packages and equipment to record, edit, store, revise, convert and print
correspondence, reports, manuscripts, statistical tables, forms and other
materials using clerical and computer skills and knowledge of word processing
functions.
My job required that I use desktop publishing software to create, revise and
print a variety of materials. On occasion, planned, developed and translated
ideas and concepts into visual layout of text, photos or illustrations for
newsletters, announcements, invitations, brochures, posters, manuals, overheads
or other presentation materials. Provided support to the Communications
Department on special projects.
We have steadily progressed with technology, learning new skills and taking
classes, frequently learning new software with minimal guidance and/or only
on-line tutorials. I was promoted to Senior Document Processor/Desktop Publisher
in 2000 because of my graphic design skills and interest in the desktop
publishing/graphic arts area. Accustomed to working under pressure to meet tight
deadlines. Possess strong communication, customer service and organizational
skills.
