RESUME’
Objective: I would like to continue my work in positions where I can build
relationships with clients or customers. My long term career goal is to work in
positions where I can focus more on my technical skills.
Experience:
I am currently a business owner. In 2000 I began work in market research,
consulting services, theater audits, promotional events, product demonstrations,
and merchandising. I am still working in this area. I was team leader in two of
these assignments. These where mostly independent contractor positions.
I would like to gain more experience in the field of technology. I use these
skills in my current position and work on assignments in PC servicing, electronic
sales, and electronic displays.
I began preparing for work in the field of technology in High School. I built
simple circuits, power supplies, and programmed an old computer given to me by a
friend. I bought a Electrical Engineering book so I could learn about how the
Electric Company designs power grids. In 1985, I enrolled in Technical Trades
School and studied the basics of electronics. After High School, I graduated from
Blue Ridge Community College with an AAS degree in IT and certificates in web
design, database management, and programming. I also received certificates from
ROCCO (now owed by Cargill) for completion of computer courses offered by them.
My working life started in Agriculture when I was still in elementary school
because I was born the son of a farm hand. Since then I have found myself in a
variety of positions: Food Preparation, Food Processing, Manufacturing, Retail,
Fast-Food, Housekeeping, Floor Refinishing, Janitorial, Grounds Keeping,
Maintenance, Warehousing, Sales, Telemarketing, and Construction.
I have spent 13 years working as a pro se litigant on civil cases. I won a
published case in the Supreme Court of Virginia (Switzer v. Switzer, Et. Al 273
Va. 326, 641 S.E.2d 80 (2007)). The decision was unanimous.
In the United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia I won
an out of court settlement in a dispute with a repo agent.
