Independent Software & Web Developer - August 2000 – Present.
Projects done to date are listed below chronologically with latest first. My
responsibilities include entire project plan, requirements, design, development,
debugging, server configuration (I provide hosting support as well), launch and
ongoing maintenance. For many projects, numerous custom dlls, flash apps and
others were created that are not explicitly mentioned here for brevity.
I also provide IT Consulting services for Bahamas Library Service and J. S.

Web Applications:
Poll App - Jan 2007 - Present
This site allows users with four different security levels to interact with the
website’s poll features and manage various tasks and activities. These include
User Management, Poll Creation, Poll Commenting, and Poll Participation. Other
features of site include Poll Search, an email engine, Poll Closure Program
(Windows), Poll results shown with Crystal reports.

Hospital Doctors Association - Jan 2006 – Present
Not a database intensive site except for member lists. This site is a minor site
that exemplifies clean design and ease of use with a custom flash photo gallery
and a member forum.

Bahamas National Library Service Website - Dec 2004 - Present
The National Library Service subsumes over 40 libraries. Their website
undertaking was to fulfill the following needs:
1. A Public Information Portal
2. A Library Information Conduit

5. Dual User-Interface- Dropdown and JS Menus
6. Search
The website developed exemplifies the implementation of these initial goals.

Classifieds Web Portal - Sept 2003 - Present
Users can login and post ads, view classifieds by major and minor categories, by
users, region etc. The portal runs on a VB6 DLL built to speed up loading of
classifieds.

Ministry of Housing Project proposal - May 2005
This is an hour long animated flash presentation of proposed automation project
proposal designed exclusively to provide shareholders with an overview of entire
project.

A simple flash photo gallery with thumb strip, viewer frame and photo label.

Library Cadet Program proceedings CDROM for UNESCO - April 2006
UNESCO launched a Worldwide Library Cadet program in 2005 in which Bahamas was a
recipient.

Windows Apps:
Digital Telephone Directory Software
This is major windows software under development that will enable subscribers of
a phone company browse and search all areas of a typical directory viz., blue,
yellow and white pages. Apart, the app enables users to view pertinent local
information as well as provide updates to all data in the directory.

MS Access Apps:
Custom POS software - March 2007
A freight forwarding agency wanted a simple and user-friendly program on the PC
to manage their members, payments for items dispatched, few reports and a label
printer. An access application was developed to satisfy these goals.

Government Rental Units Management - Sept 2005
Ministry of Housing needed a database to manage their rental units, tenants and
payments. A comprehensive database was developed and delivered to satisfy this
need.

Fax Logger - May 2004
This was a courtesy database for Ministry of Foreign Affairs Visa Division to
log fax receipts and transmissions since manual registry proved erroneous and
unmanageable.

Requirements Authoring:
Enterprise Requirements Development - Sept 2005 - Dec 2005
A government Ministry requested for organization-wide process automation
requirements to be written. A web-based requirements gathering and sharing portal
was developed apart from the gathering process.
With the help of a website site developed with ASP, MS Access requirements were
gathered in a methodical, collaborated and secured process. The site allowed
dynamic creation and generation of spec documents, export to various formats and
worked as a content manager until the html documents were formatted with MS Word
to compile into a bound volume.

EXPERIENCE - OTHER
Software Development and Management 6 months
Lead a team of four (4) software developers, two (2) graphic designers involved
in developing windows and web application software using Microsoft .Net
framework.
We base our project scope and planning around Agile methodologies and XP.
I am responsible for writing all technical content and specifications for
applications we develop.
The above operation is currently suspended.
Teaching Programming, Graphics & Web Design Courses 6 years

Moved server install base from old to new machines at a major insurance company
