Model Integration (CMMI) team
Led Impact of CMMI-based Process Improvement on Project Performance
project, a collaboration between the SEI and PRTM. Planned and managed results of
this study, to be published in an SEI public report.
Developed metrics to improve predictability and software development project
quality, cost-efficiency, time-to-market, and customer satisfaction. Built
connection between factors that influence project performance and performance
benchmark measurements. In collaboration with Dr. Matt Fisher, formulated
definitions of project and measurement terminology to be used consistently across
organizations.

Initiated and coordinated a project to bring together consulting and industry
organizations (including competitors) to establish normalized performance
metrics. Launched the Performance Benchmarking Consortium (PBC).
Reviewed over 500 organizational inputs to derive and determine quantitative
measures for comparable project performance benchmarking and established the
factors that influence project performance.
