       	Built an eHealth survey website using the Orbeon engine and Xforms for
the University of Washington
(http://ehealth.joyeurs.com/orbeon/ehealth/login/4193176fb42eef5de09573cf808b8d2b).
 This site allows selected individuals to take the survey, and see immediate
feedback for their answers.  Built initial search pages for Zalag
(http://www.zalag.com).  Conducted data mining system testing for Syngence
Corporation (http://www.syngence.com).  With one other developer, designed and
built interactive Fleet Management System (FMS) website for Specialty Transport
Incorporated (STI - http://www.specialtytransport.com).  Seemlessly migrated
existing data from SQL Server database to MySQL.  Set up mail server capability
for STI through the FMS appplication.  Set FMS up with daily backups using
amanda.  Conducted bare-metal restores, as well as individual file recovery. 
Researched server farm design with load balancing, Virtual Local Area Networks
(VLANs), and various internet protocols, including Session Initiation Protocol
(SIP), to recommend a nationwide system for internet access from vehicles.  Along
with one other developer, designed and built initial eCommerce web site for
Clearwire Corporation (http://www.clearwire.com).  This site incorporated B2B
interaction through web services, SSL protection, and database persistence. 
Improved upon Clearwire's initial customer relations management (CRM) software
package to better fit their business model.  Conducted structured testing of
Clearwire's replacement systems through bugzilla and testopia applications. 
Removed virus/malware from Ursus computers.  Incorporated virus/malware
protection.  Set up spam filtering for Ursus mail server.  Built firewall and
mail server w/ RAID for Seattle Scientific Corporation (SSC -
http://www.seattlescientific.com).  Built mail server for XTZ Industries
(http://www.xtz.com).  System Administration for both SSC and XTZ.  Team
developer on three intranet projects for Internap Network Services
(http://www.internap.com), Service Tracker System (STS), Network Configuration
Management (NCM) and Asset Management System (AMS).  STS and  NCM are two of
Internap's three most-critical applications used to provide their services. 
Wrote numerous Perl scripts to test/restore cellular radios, track critical alarm
data, standardize alarm naming, and provide operational support for AT&T's
wireless network.  Conducted Y2K remediation on 30 applications with 120 scripts.
 Wired Ursus Technologies, Inc. (http://www.ursus-tech.com) office space with
cat5 cable.  Set up office network (routers, hubs, etc.).  Set up  office phone
and alarm systems.

1993 - 	Broadcast Section Chief, Differential Global Positioning System (DGPS)
Implementation Project
1996   	USCG Electronics Engineering Center, Wildwood, NJ
       	Electronics Engineer/Project Engineer for implementation of 47 DGPS
broadcast sites through-out U.S.  Conducted system reliability study resulting in
development of improved equipment maintenance and spares philosophy.  Led the
equipment integration process and design of the standard broadcast site with a
team of 2  engineers and 8 electronics technicians.  Researched, documented, and
recommended chosen method for DGPS signal insertion into the Coast Guard's
existing radiobeacon infrastructure.  Prototyped, tested, and acquired remote
broadcast site equipment.  Acquired and used existing CG inventory saving over
$270,000.  Documented broadcast site requirements.  Defined system's standard
configuration.  Authored 310-page site installation manual.  Led equipment
installations at 4 sites.  Trained, scheduled, and coordinated 26 personnel to
conduct DGPS installations.  Promoted to Senior Project Engineer of this
$6,500,000 project during the critical installation phase.  Member of the
national standards committee defining DGPS message formats.  Awarded Coast Guard
Commendation Medal.

1989 - 	U.S. Coast Guard Aviator
1993   	U.S. Coast Guard Air Station, Port Angeles, WA
       	Experienced instrument-rated, commercial helicopter pilot.   Logged over
1,100 hours of flight time including over 140 search and rescue missions, saving
13 lives.  As Hazardous Materials Coordinator, developed database to inventory
all hazardous materials kept on the facility. Communications Security Material
System Custodian:  In charge of maintaining the Air Station's classified
material.  Assigned a Top Secret clearance.

1987 - 	Student Aviator
1989   	U.S. Navy Flight Training Program, Pensacola, FL
       	Ground School - Graduated #2 of 43 students with 93% average.  Basic,
Intermediate, Advanced - Academic average of 96%.  Received Academic Achievement
Award for superior achievement in academic curriculum.  Received Certificate of
Achievement for superior performance in physical fitness.  Broke record for
fastest time to complete the obstacle course.

1985 - 	Engineering Officer and Student Engineer
1987   	U.S. Coast Guard Cutter TAMPA, WMEC-902, Portsmouth, VA
       	Electrical and Damage Control Division Officer.  Key player in ship's
overall excellence awards two times in a row, with the second award being the
highest overall score awarded to Navy or Coast Guard ships to date.  Thoroughly
updated and computerized 372 Compartment Check-Off Lists (CCOLs) for 157
compartments, covering over 4,000 ship fittings.
