Major Projects

•	 MarketQA  Tick data Functions implementation  (Visual C++ and Pervasive DB)
MarketQA is a financial software application that allows you to perform in-depth
market analysis, back-test trading strategies and manage portfolios. MarketQA
queries use Quantitative QAnalytics Language (QAL), a proprietary language
designed for querying, calculation and data manipulation in MarketQA. MarketQA
queries rely on functions and function arguments to retrieve information. Tick
data functions are used to retrieve data (current transaction and future
contracts) for international exchanges of different regions (such as Europe,
Pacific, Global) and US exchanges from data archives of specific format. Data
granularity is upto transaction level (Bid/trade).  

•	Thomas Reuters News stories Analysis and broadcast (C# and Microsoft Sql
server)
It involves complete data ETL(Extraction, transformation and loading) process
and then broadcast it to end user through its integration with MarketQA
functions.   

•	 Integration of Thomas Quantitative News with MarketQA  ( Visual C++  )
The integration of news with MarketQA will give users the ability to back-test
news-based trading strategies and conduct correlation analysis to better
understand the impact of news on the financial markets. It focus is on
integrating Thomson Financial News North America.  Thomson Financial News Europe,
Asia, and the press release wires will follow. 

•	Enhancement in Communicator project  (Visual C++ using MFC interface)
Communicator is used to read and download data feed of different exchanges,
earlier it works only for US exchanges but now it is being modified to deal with
data feed of all exchanges (For global regions and local regions).

•	Convention MarkAppl to MarkCom project  Application (Visual studio 2005 C++)
MarkCom application is able to connect to Thomson Data Feed on the Thomson
Financial Price Server for retrieve static, snap quote data and subscribe to and
receive dynamic, streaming updates for a symbol and/or group of symbols, entire
exchange or news headlines source. Both domestic and international data are
available. The client application maintains TCP connection(s) with the Thomson
Data Feed using ILX Transfer Format (specified format), and each client
connection can have multiple pending requests.

•	Different data format financial data loader (Visual C++ / C# and Sql server)
These projects includes loading of different format of financial data provide by
different data vendors. Input data files can be from real time feed or in
compressed files. Some of data Exchanges are NYSE, Toronto Stock Exchange,
International regions (e.g. Pacific, Europe etc) exchanges data.

	  Psyche Features of Text writing (FYP)  ( Eclipse (Java) and MySQL)
Software that can predict the psyche/mood of the writer after examining the
written  document. It is research and application based project. Actually this
project is a part of a bigger 3-5 years project of determining the behaviors and
psychology of people using the text psyche features. Our major focus in on
finding any one psyche feature related to text writing. Our build system is able
to determine one psyche feature i.e. satisfaction (Here we targeting customer
service area). Build on IBM UIMA (Unstructured Information Management
Architecture) SDK.I am the team lead of this project and become a good
researcher.

•	Emailing systems for kids aged 3 to 5 years  (JSP  and  My Access database)
A web based application to familiar the kids with mailing system. It provides a
‘User friendly interface keeping in mind the skill set of the children as well as
Human computer interaction principles, It provides some of  facilities  i.e.
composing email consisting of alphabets, emotion icons, digits, cartoon character
pictures, quick short messaging), sending, viewing, replying , forwarding and
deletion and address book.

•	Taqreeb.com website (E-business Platform) ( JSP and  Oracle 9i ) 
A website where people can place orders to get functions arranged. The theme of
project is to make, the conducting of a function, a convenient task. It deals
with end users who are settled aboard and well as people in Pakistan having busy
job schedules 

•	Enterprise Emailing System  (JSP and Oracle9i)
A web based application to deals with needs of an organization for emailing
system. It provides basic facilities (i.e. composing, sending, viewing, replying
and forwarding mails) as well as some advance features like blocking of email
addresses and address book and creation and management of user groups.

•	Slide Show Software like Power Point (Visual Studio C++ using MFC interface)
Its works similar to Microsoft Power point but with limited number of facilities
(such as selection of theme, Clip art, limited font style and slide Show
facility.
