Experience: 

Lotus Notes Freelance Consultant 

Self Employed        July 2007 – Present

Developed various applications for an international sportswear concern in
Northern Wisconsin as a freelance developer. Applications included a mix between
the Notes Client and Web. Applications such as a Server Outage recording
database, a database maintaining hardware and software relationships, and one
storing information on vendor contracts were developed. Also served as an interim
Notes Administrator for a large health insurance firm that is in the process of
migrating to Exchange and Sharepoint, and assisted with this migration. Performed
these duties remotely from my home office.

Lotus Notes Consultant 

Logicalis, (formerly Computech) De Pere, WI    Jan 2007 – July 2007

Performed remote administrative support for former employer Regal-Beloit
Corporation, as well as providing administrative and development support for
various other Logicalis customers around the State of Wisconsin, including
customers in the Manufacturing, Government, Financial and Educational sectors.
Performed these duties remotely from my home office.

Lotus Notes Administrator 

IBM Corporation, under contract from CDI Corp    July 2006 – Jan 2007

Involved on a project with a financial firm in Brazil, to split servers and
databases after a change in corporate ownership. Was also part of an extensive
team at IBM assigned to a contract project to split a very large global financial
firm based in Minneapolis/St. Paul into two separate companies. This involved
analyzing thousands of Notes databases and identifying potential issues and
correcting those issues, as part of identifying which applications stay with the
‘old’ company, which with the ‘new’ and which are shared and need to be
separated. This was a remote, work from home type position, a 6 month contract.
Performed these duties remotely from my home office.

Global Email Administrator 

Regal-Beloit Corporation, Wausau, WI    August 2005 – July 2006

Responsible for a 2800 user Notes infrastructure spread across the U.S., Canada,
Mexico, India, England, Germany and China for Lotus Notes 6.5.x, Domino Web
Access, Sametime and Quickplace. Embarked upon a massive project to clean up a
largely unregulated environment, establishing standards and best practices for
new user creation, group creation, installation, configuration and distribution
of software, help desk tech notes and other pertinent information. Drove project
to eliminate R5 clients and Win9x machines from the environment. Developed
automatic configuration scripts for the desktop team to insure consistency of
configurations. Taught limited number of training classes for users as time
allowed. Utilized my development skills to author several scripts to modify the
mail template to enforce company-wide standard settings. Set up a Quickplace
solely for distribution of Lotus-related documentation and standards to the
global desktop team. Responsible for proper setup and operation of Blackberry
devices and the Blackberry Enterprise Server for Lotus Notes/Domino.

Senior Notes Developer       

Milwaukee Electric Tool Corporation, Brookfield, WI  February 2001 – August
2005

Developed business systems within Lotus Notes using a variety of technologies
and skills, including LotusScript, Javascript, formula language, Visual Basic,
HTML and Lotus Quickplace. Assessed user needs and participate in the entire
development process from conception to rollout. Lead the companies' efforts with
Lotus Notes and chart future direction for development, standards, best
practices, etc. Served as key advisor and strategist for upgrade of servers and
clients to R6. Developed an in house document imaging solution, a performance
review and job description / job access level database which became the world
standard for the parent corporation, a vendor quotation solicitation application
and various technical drawing approval processes and repositories using Notes and
various calls to Windows API’s, JD Edwards on the AS400, LEI, FTP servers, email,
and the Internet. Developed an in house Notes code repository for the sharing and
reuse of code for Notes Developers, and a historical reference application for
changes to currently deployed Notes applications. 

Senior Consultant, Lotus Notes     

ARC, Milwaukee, WI      July 2000 – February 2001

Deployed on a 6 month engagement with an international manufacturing client. Key
in completing and redesign, redeployment, analysis and troubleshooting work on a
third party sales force automation product in Lotus Notes (Relavis) that was
incorrectly and ineffectively rolled out by a predecessor. Additionally performed
administrative duties related to server performance and mail systems, developed
workflow applications, helpdesk automation applications and other mail and web
applications utilizing Lotus Notes and Domino. Lotusscript and Notes macro
language used extensively. Key advisor on a R5 E-Commerce project and a migration
from Exchange to Notes as a mail solution for same client.

Lotus Notes Administration & Development Consultant 

Sundial Software Corp, Madison, WI.    July 1999 – July 2000

Excelled in AppDev and SysAdmin role representing Sundial for a worldwide retail
footwear client. Key in revamping a previous implementation of Lotus Notes on the
AS/400 in an intranet environment interfacing with Java utilizing a mixture of
Java code, JavaScript, Lotus Script and macro language. Commanded a leadership
role in the client’s Web Enablement project, preparing them for the eventuality
of E-Commerce and extending intranets and internet applications throughout the
business enterprise. Prepared rollout plan for merging of multiple Notes domains
and a corporate-wide upgrade to R5 Notes.

Also subcontracted out to former employer, AE Business Solutions, to develop a
prototype third-party package aimed at police departments for profiling,
organizing and displaying ‘rap sheets’ via a web browser utilizing Domino 5.

Lotus Notes Administration and Development Consultant   

AE Business Solutions, Middleton, WI.     Feb 1996 - July1999 

Excelled in both Admin and AppDev roles for both AE’s internal Notes
infrastructure, and AE clients in the private, public and educational sectors.
Notes products worked with include Notes 4.X, Notes R5, LearningSpace, NotesPump,
Domino FaxServer, Domino Pager Gateway, Domino for AS/400, Notes/cc:Mail Gateway
and Domino Merchant. In many cases, built entire Notes infrastructure from a bare
case and power supply up to NT 4.0 / Notes, including database development, mail,
Domino website and exchange of data through NotesPump and ODBC. Has successfully
migrated several mail systems to Notes for clients including cc:Mail and
Exchange. Built extensive experience in developing web-enabled applications,
contact-management applications and various workflow applications. Served as
Administrator of a Notes environment at a large education institution involved in
distributed learning over the Internet utilizing Notes and LearningSpace.
