Business Process Operations Manager, 2007-09
Spearheaded $1M+ in complex integrated supply programs including inventory
management, systems, warehousing and materials distribution with key industry
clientele.

Significant Achievements

Managed $2.5M in PVF/MRO consignments for a global paper manufacturer delivering
3.5 inventory turns each year across 1,500+ items while achieving a 12% reduction
in slow/non-moving inventory.

Developed and deployed key operational processes to support upstream sales and
oil/gas well projects in the Gulf Coast focused on operations, inventory
management, CRM and cost control. The processes covered $3M+ in sales across 20
branch operations in AL, LA, TX and KS.

Executed a contract with International Paper to implement eight plants in NY,
ME, MS, LA and AR resulting in $10-$15M in MRO and PVF sales. Setup up inventory,
tracked sales and coordinated the order management process that spanned 6,000+
customer products.

Consolidated two MRO warehouses for a major chemical manufacturer including
5,000 SKUs, 30,000 items of material and setup of order management using the
customer  's SAP system resulting in annual savings of $300K in taxes and
$75-$100K in operational costs. Designed the new warehouse, directed move
logistics, organized and setup the new spaces. 

Directed all supply, inventory, distribution, order management,
credit/collections, systems configuration and project management office functions
in support of a BP Durango gas gathering and treatment project in southern CO
resulting in nearly $6M in material sales.

Collaborated with key clientele to analyze and implement supply chain
operational improvements.

Significant Achievements

Developed a process for controlling access to the state police communications
infrastructure to facilitate upgrades, expansion of digital network and wireless
internet for rural school districts.

Created a docking process for an international textile machinery manufacturer
increasing throughput 25%. resulting in a 25% increase in throughput.

Reorganized and reset a storage warehouse for a regional van company. Eliminated
the manual system and reconfigured existing warehouse management processes saving
up to $100K annually.

Key player in the development of a China/Asia parts manufacturing and
distribution strategy for a leading Swiss textile machinery manufacturer.

Led global SAP project teams engaged in the design and deployment of new
operating processes and metrics. Managed manufacturing, logistics and IT
specialists.

Significant Achievements

Developed and implemented new global standards for bar coding of product, case
and pallets for 30,000+ SKUs. Eliminated obsolete data and worked with 15
manufacturing units and 200 suppliers.

Led a global team in the development of new SAP warehousing processes using
remote computing. Incorporated pick, pack, loading, cycle counting, inventory,
receiving, put away and transportation. Sourced, selected, negotiated purchase
contracts and rolled-out $1.5M in hardware worldwide.

Crafted and established global corporate policy for auto data capture in
manufacturing and warehousing resulting in the company  's first ever unified
data capture and use standards. 

Director of Operations/Customer Service, Shanghai, China (1999-02)
Managed supply chain, logistics, distribution, customer service, inventory
planning, purchasing, quality control, sales, customs and operations planning for
a $40M Chinese subsidiary of a global manufacturer. Directed eight managers and
70 employees, and held accountability for $12M in assets across 20 distribution
sites in China. 

Significant Achievements

Reduced costs $2M+ and improved lead times and customer fulfillment metrics 25%
by reengineering organizational and supporting process infrastructures.

Decreased overall logistics costs by 4% of net sales through aggressive product
portfolio management, 3rd party logistics, and reorganizing the sales and
operational planning process.

Designed and implemented new repair programs that improved key process
indicators by 20%+ and decreased cycle times from five days to less than three
days.

Instituted 3PL operations in China that increased the service area and service
times 30%+. Negotiated a 3PL contract with a vendor generating some $3M in annual
