WORK  EXPERIENCE

Moutain Messenger Media, Lewisburg, WV

Advertising Sales Representative:  Face to face, telephone, and email contacts
with existing and potential customers regarding their advertising needs and our
services; solicit ads for special section publications; utilize Quick Books Pro
2006, Quick Books Customer Manager, Microsoft Word, Publisher and Excel software
on a daily basis.

The Homestead, Hot Springs, VA				          July 2001 – March 2002
Maid:  Cleaned hotel rooms and performed checkout duties.  Selected to clean the
Homestead Resort’s owner’s quarters.

Snowshoe Mountain Resort, Snowshoe, WV			           June 1997 – July 2001
Supervisor/Waitress/Bartender:  Supervised operation of bar and restaurant;
assigned duties for wait staff and bussers, approximately 20 employees; managed
cash and made bank deposits; completed daily records of sales, expenses, payroll.
 Bartending duties included filling drink orders for the restaurant and serving
food and drinks to patrons at the bar.  Used touch screen computers for orders
and to record sales. As a server, I provided excellent customer service and
achieved a high level of sales.

Greenbrier Birthing Center, Hillsboro, WV				January 1996 – June 1997
Counselor Aide:  Reviewed weekly goals with inmates and assisted them to achieve
their goals; monitored inmate and infant activities; performed weekly drug and
breathalyzer tests; performed room inspections and searches; transported inmates
and infants to appointments; answered telephone, used copier and fax machine,
typed documents required for record keeping purposes; processed furloughs and
maintained contact with furloughed inmates throughout the day.

Ski Barn, Slatyfork, WV						 November 1996 – June 1997	
Cashier:  Accepted payment from customers and operated computerized cash
register; answered telephone; priced and displayed merchandise; maintained
records of equipment rentals.

EDUCATION

A.S. degree in Business Administration with specialization in Marketing: 
Bluefield State College, Bluefield, WV  May 2005.

Currently pursuing B.S. degree in Business with specialization in Marketing
through Mountain State University, Beckley, WV.
